Die Krokusse (Crocus; in der Schweiz „das Krokus“; Mehrzahl Krokusse) sind eine Gattung der Schwertliliengewächse (Iridaceae). Die etwa 100 Krokusarten sind vor allem im Orient, aber auch in Europa, Nordafrika und bis nach Westchina verbreitet. Sie sind seit Jahrhunderten beliebte Zierpflanzen. Als Frühblüher sind sie in den Parks und Gärten der gemäßigten Breiten auf der ganzen Welt anzutreffen.
