Diamond Beach


The icebergs floating on Jökulsárlón stem from Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull. A very short river connects the glacial lagoon to the sea where fragments of icebergs dot the black lava beach.
Die Eisberge auf dem Jökulsárlón kommen vom Breiðamerkurjökull, einem Auslassgletscher des Vatnajökull. Ein sehr kurzer Fluss verbindet die Gletscherlagune mit dem Meer, wo Fragmente von Eisbergen am schwarzen Lavastrand liegen.
