Moonlit night

TSC: look back through your photographs and pick your favourite photo you took this year. Not necessarily your best composed/exposed/technically perfect, though it may be so, but the one that means most to you, and tell us why.
A difficult choice as I don't have one single favourite photo.
This is a previously unpublished one from a winter journey on one of the older Hurtigruten ships. I love watching the night sky while the boat sails along the coast. There are few people outside and the ones that are appreciate the peaceful mood while above our heads the night shift on the bridge are at work. Once you've put up the tripod you keep your eyes glued to the sky, blindly hit the shutter every now and then and stay out until your toes are frozen;-)
In the PiP one from the following night, finally some northern lights! Strong wind and the usual Barents Sea swell made photos more miss than hit and the stars turned into stripes or zigzags (this is the best of a bad lot, not fit for looking at in large size).
