Danke für die Sternderl, Udo! Das scheint dort oben im Norden öfters so zu sein, dass solche Wolken-/ Nebelschichten in die Fjorde kriechen- ist halt offen nach Grönland. LG Gudrun

We were lucky here in that we had a sort of sunset. Usually the weather was rather bad and the sky just went greyish, but it was never dark at night!
The flat mountain tops are rather typical in parts of Iceland, you find them where the rock is very old (tertiary basalt, mainly) and eroded through glaciation.
