Replacement houses and flats on the corner of Cambridge Road and Haggis Gap, seen from Shelford Road. The new development will provide approx. 270 dwellings where there were formerly 160, according to www.scambs.gov.uk/Housing/StrategyAndDevelopment/Affordab... . Nonetheless, I wonder if three-storey buildings are appropriate for such a prominent position in a village (the previous estate included some three-storey flats, as seen here, but they were much less prominent). The neo-Georgian front doors seem aesthetically timid (but may be "what buyers want"); the untidily arranged solar PV panels on the three-storey sections were not part of the original design, and do not help.
