Amboy 01
Stayed the fourth night of this relaxing hotel trip at Twentynine Palms Inn. This time we got the Hyacinth bungalow.
Amboy 02
Took Amboy Road north out of Twentynine Palms, CA. Not through the snow, but the salt flats of Bristol Lake.

Near the salt mines, a fantastic canal seperated by dikes, with a deep aquamarine center.

Not sure how it all works. Sea water is used to create salt ponds in the bay area, but this is fresh water in a natural salt lake. It's backwards.

There is a salt encrusted porthole at the shallow end.

On the map it doesn't connect to the CA aqueduct, so I can only assume it's from a deep well.

Off to hike Amboy Crater at Amboy Road and historic Route 66. Been here twice before but never budgeted the time to go hike it.

Saw many of these big desert iguanas running around.

Discovered that around the north side is a breach that you can hike up and into with ease.
