Desert / Ghost Town Trek #13

After nearly a year in Reno with no desert treks due to job hunting and worry, we finally take one after I secured a job back in the Bay Area. This dead engine in the desert is oddly symbolic of that experience.

First time with all wheel drive, we were able to push deeper into some of the dirt roads we camped near a few years ago in the Inyos near Big Pine, CA.

We went into Bishop, CA to get our tickets to Mule Days, a Memorial Day event with a multitude of mules.

The friendly beasts are getting stoked for their events the next day.
