After my trip to Jefferson, NV ghost town site, took a trip over the pass via Manhattan, NV to Ralston Valley, where I took in some views of Mt. Jefferson.
This is a surprisingly low start for the hike. I was hoping the roads would gain some more elevation. As it is, the gain is about 4,500 ft. A little more than I've ever done as a single day hike.
This is on my bucket list, I think. Maybe a one night backpacker would make it more fun. I think there is ample water up Pine Creek, unlike my other desert peaks.
