Example of an old Scotia pole - the upper blue colored crossarm is PG&E's line feeding the town; the yellow lower crossarm is Town of Scotia primary. The Town is decommissioning their own utility and having PG&E take over.
I should also note - I noticed the same painted crossarm setup at the Conoco Phillips refinery in Rodeo, CA. You can drive through there on San Pablo Ave. Easy access off I-80 just south of the Carquinez Bridge

Another doomed Scotia pole... the secondary wire running to the newer pole in the foreground was likely powering some of the Town's 400w mercury GE Powr-Bracket luminaires. These are being replaced by 70w HPS PG&E cobra heads.

New PG&E on the street, Scotia behind the houses. Scotia's system ran all over, including over buildings... PG&E is bringing up the town's system to current standards.

PG&E's new system getting ready to replace the old Scotia system. Note the secondary of the transformer is not yet connected, and all the homes have new service entrances on the front of the house. The company is upgrading them before selling them off to the general public.
