Tucannon between Fourth and Railroad. This is the pole that controls most of the street lights in the town. It's interesting because there is only one visible wire to each fixture. The lighting is Mercury Vapor.

W First & Baxter. This whole pole setup seemed super low to me... maybe because it's a co-op?

On Tucannon St. just East of E Sixth. Forgive me cutting off the top of the pole... I was focusing on the street lighting. This pole can be seen quite well using Bing Maps Streetside here: http://binged.it/1N5LuzX

Corner of W First and Baxter. Some of the poles in Starbuck are very short. This was a particularly good example!

Sorry it isn't clearer, but here's a strange pole configuration I saw a few times in Illinois near Belvidere. The primary was always on a porcelain insulator but the neutral occasionally would have glass in this configuration.

Town of Scotia, CA. This "company town" is all one plot of land... they are preparing to break it up and sell of the houses to private owners, and as a result, they're having PG&E take over their electrical system. PG&E is completely rebuilding the system.

Here is an example of a PG&E pole preparing to take over the load from the old Scotia-owned system

PG&E's new system getting ready to replace the old Scotia system. Note the secondary of the transformer is not yet connected, and all the homes have new service entrances on the front of the house. The company is upgrading them before selling them off to the general public.
