Kieron Farrow. Curwen Gallery. London 1999. Private View card.
The right hand side shows 'Hiva Oa' oil on linen 200high x 160cm, this is in a private collection in South Africa. The left side is a monoprint, both are inspired by a trip I made to French Polynesia where I travelled to Tahiti, Bora Bora and then onto the Marquesas Island of Hiva Oa where Paul Gauguin is buried.

Patrick Heron and Kieron Farrow, at Camden Arts Centre October 1994.
Patrick Heron did a two day master class at Camden Arts Centre in 1994. I had visited Patrick at his home, Eagles Nest, Zennor a couple of years before. Patrick gave me a private tour of the garden and house and showed me his latest gouache paintings on hand made paper. The rooms throughout the house had many of his paintings from all periods of his career. By the front door there was large plate full of brightly painted pebbles. He also had a couple of Alfred Wallis paintings on the walls. He was doing a portrait at the time of an author and he asked me what I thought of it. Patrick was open to what other people thought. I told him about Curwen Chilford Studios and he was surprised when I said they were always on the lookout to commission artists to do prints. Some years later I saw a lithographic print he had done for Curwen.
