Keswick St.John Church


New Zealand born English novelist Hugh Walpole was a great fan of the Lake District. He lived on the edge of Derwentwater & wrote 'Rogue Herries' & 3 other books known as the Herries Chronicles. He died of a heart attack in the 1950s and is buried at St.John Church.
