Le carreau que j’ai photographié est la reproduction fidèle du carreau émaillé qui ornait l’abbatiale au 12ème et 13ème siècles.
Fontenay près de mon village natal est la « deuxième fille » de Clairvaux. Fondée en 1119 l’abbaye est patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO depuis 1981.
En Angleterre elle est contemporaine de l’abbaye de Fountains.
Nous partageons le même intérêt pour le Moyen âge.
