Breakfast on Election Morning

Toast seems a good start for an election day. :-)

I'm not usually that fond of food photos, but this one is very appealing (and hopefully very tasty!).

I'm not mad about food photos either. I just photograph things to see what they look like photographed (q.v. Garry Winogrand). In this case the result pleased me for its texture, limited colour palette, asymmetry and tight focus. I'm pleased to know another anti-food-photography photographer. Maybe we could start a group (joke! Groups are supposed to be positive in character I think).

Happy to know you as an 'anti-food-photography photographer' also! *smile*

Well, I do have a few food photos (very few). I note that they are also similar to yours here in that they have a tight focus with attention to the shapes caused by that.

Groups? Well, we are photographers after all, so a negative can always be turned into a positive in the darkroom!

[I actually have a group called 'naturey crap - crappy nature' which is for any type of nature photo because even though I'm sick of pretty flower photos, I still take them sometimes and enjoy seeing nature. So is that a negative group? I don't know, it is for the fun of it for me. People have a hard time understanding the joke of the title of the group, especially in translation, but I still keep it going.]
