Thank you, Bob. I'd estimate that this pencil has lost about one third of its original length since bought in Cowes, Isle of Wight, in 1962. Obviously it is not pressed into daily use. Souvenirs must be made to last, so that the memory which they represent will endure.

I can see no pencils in Fox Talbot's The Pencil of Nature. It's good to see you working diligenty to fill that gap.
I like the speed blur as background. It makes the pencil seem like a Grand Prix car.
