This crane is the tallest crane in the UK with a 1,200 tonne lifting capacity. It was built in Germany, at a cost of £4 million, and is used all over the world for various lifting projects. It arrived on 48 articulated lorries and took six men four days to put together, with the help of a smaller crane. When fully assembled it is over 100 metres (328 ft) high, and weighs nearly 1,400 tonnes. This is equivalent to the weight of 70 double-decker buses or three jumbo jets full of passengers
