Newpark Seniors 1996/7

These are from the Newpark Seniors' 1996/7 season, when they won the All-Irelands (first southern winners), did the league and cup double in Leinster then lost in the European Youths' final. Also, extracts from programmes including articles which are worth a read, putting things in context.

There aren't that many action photos, because I was carrying a video-recorder. In Holland, I used give the camera to anyone interested, so a couple of the photos I can only guess who took them, but thanks.

In the clubhouse after the final, people were singing and so on, while outside Ezra and Carl had headed back out onto the pitch again and were knocking a ball back and forth. A number of the lads in these photos have had fine playing careers; it's good to see some are still heading out there, even if slipping down the divisions.
