My time-consuming way of playing with transparencies. I'm trying to learn more about the gradient stuff, but it's going rather slowly. That's four layers of the "Crystal" filter mashed together: 3 in full color at different sizes. Then one of the combined layer de-saturated and added at low percentage over the top: to mute the colors somewhat. Shown smaller than the original finished size of 2067 X 2067 Pixels.
