Yes, a marvelous sky and an exotic bird, this seems strange lol !!! We also have many parakeets now in Paris in many parks !!!!

A lucky capture, very nice one too. I guess he was perhaps an escapee from a pet shop or someone's home? I'll always remember seeing a budgie flying around in the last village where I used to live.

There are flocks of these birds in the south of England. They started as escapee's and bred very successfully and now there are many !

I didn't know that but I can see how easily it could happen. Whilst many must be escaped pets, I'm unfortunate enough to know a family next door to my mother-in-law who had an aviary full of small birds like canaries and various finches, etc, and when they no longer wanted them, they just let them loose into the wild :o(
