{OK} TAR - Latil 4-wd

The TAR (Tracteur d'Artillerie Roulante ) PROJECT SUSPENDED

We have been commissioned, by the new private owner, to replicate the timber cab and back for this 1914 Latil TAR (Tracteur d'Artillerie Roulante). The first of these 4 Wheel Drive vehicles were built in 1913 for the French army to tow heavy guns in the field; they were developed in various ways to cope with deeper mud as the first world war continued. Some military variants survived until the second world war, but most were for forestry etc, in 1955 Latil merged with Somua and Renault to form Saviem.
