B49 - The Grey Waggon

Rebuild of one of several waggons, damaged in an arson attack in 2008.

B-49 - the grey waggon, a 'half high' type; possibly on a Watts Hardy underframe.

Much of the process was very similar to the work carried out on the Kibblesworth Drift Bogie, the set of images covering that project is more detailed.

I understand that B-49 is one of four waggons on loan from Bowes to Beamish for the summer (2011)

Note: Waggon is a local variant spelling - usually refering to a working (load carrying) vehicle.

(This set had received 169 views on F****r by June 2013)
