{OK} tkw - Thomas Kirk Wright

Not a work project, but the technology is of interest.......

A few images of the 32ft Surf class lifeboat "Thomas Kirk Wright" which is on display in the old lifeboat house museum in Poole, Dorset.

The method of propulsion is the Hotchkiss impeller version of water jets (actually more akin to paddle wheels than propellors......).

On station at Poole 1939 to 1962.
