{WIP} MSR : F63 - Pairs : B6 + B10

B6 & B10 were two of the original 4-wheelers [built in 1873 by the Metropolitan Railway Carriage & Wagon Co Ltd, Birmingham] these two are now mounted on their iron underframe, which dates from 1920. In this form they saw regular use up to the 1950s, when they were relegated to schools traffic and Tynwald Day. Withdrawn due to deterioration in 1987, but kept in dry storage, latterly in Port Erin carriage shed. Exchanged for F62 in mid-February 2021 and back in February 2023. After finishing brake installation and FTR tests, F63 has been seen out on the main line. On 7th March 2023, F63 and F62 took part in a test train and pre-season stock movement train to Port Erin and return, which was the first formation with THREE "Pairs" coaches since 1987. F63 will enter revenue service on Friday 10th March 2023.

Initial examinations, having removed the additional plywood and some external panelling, indicates that the two bodies are in similar condition to F62 when the latter was first inspected. The restoration will, therefore, be a similar process.
