{OK} WHHR - Pickering Brake

The WHHR has had a long term aim of completing their Heritage Train by building a replica of the NWNGR's "Pickering" Brakes.
Fund-raising was already in progress when the Replica "Ashbury" was delivered, and at the Gala in May 2009.

SRR provided some very early assistance, with an outline estimate of costs, and suggestions regarding Wheelchair access.

During 2019 this outline design work was supplemented by further consultations with SRR. Eventually, the specification was put out to tender, but after considerable delays and ultimately the "local" political decision-making determined the successful organisation.

Unfortunately, Covid-19 greatly delayed progress at that location.
[However, in the meantime, SRR has completed an alternative project during a shorter period in 2020, which went home in August]
