{OK} FFT - Fleetwood Festival of Transport aka Tram Sunday.

Blackpool's Heritage Trams, other vintage vehicles and an old pulling lifeboat "on parade" in Fleetwood, July 2009. Tram Sunday was first held on the 14th July 1985, unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the event in 2020.

After the parade, I did my first stint with "interpreting William Riley" - mostly sat on a thwart and answering questions. Then I went for a ride on the "Heritage" trams down to Blackpool Prom (& the piers - to have some food) and back, stopping at Thornton Gate for some tram spotting and to change onto a toastrack. [had a quick check that I wasn't needed at the lifeboat, luckily another member of the team was happy to take on the interpretation role for a while, which meant I got some more free time.]
Following that conversation, I had a wander around, looking at the waggons and vehicles on display, as well as the shops and stalls. Next, I was lucky enough to be included in a special "behind the scenes" look around the Lifeboat Station before going back to sit with "William Riley" again for another hour or so.
Last job was to pack up all our displays and interpretation and send "William Riley" off on her homeward journey.
A long day, but great fun, even if my wallet did get stolen.
