Vaux were a well-known regional brewery based in Sunderland, NE England ...
Established in 1806, the brand eventually "disappeared after being taken over by Whitbread in 2000 and the central Sunderland site was close and demolished. But in 2020 plans were announced to rebuild Vaux, as a brewery and as a brand.
