oaw[I] - spotted beetle {1 of 2}

This somewhat dusty and pale example of a spotted longhorn beetle [Rutpela maculata] was found slightly further north than their usual range. I suspect that it is female from the paler colouration.

It turned up in the kitchen ! and was transferred for photographical reasons and then taken outside and released onto some suitable vegetation.
