oaw - mating flutter

We came upon this pair of mating butterflies. I think they are "gatekeeper" or "hedge brown" (Pyronia tithonus) in some scrubby grassland near Whitehaven (west coast of England, near The Lake District). A little further north and west of what I think of as the normal / traditional range.
