The Ladies Who Lunch
This is a vintage 35 mm slide that I purchased online. I so look forward to being able to meet with friends again in open places. I titled this after the Stephen Sondheim song in "Company." If you like musical theatre, go to YouTube and find Stephen Sondheim's 90 Birthday Celebration. This song was performed by Meryl Streep, Audra McDonald and Christine Baranski.

Such a fun photo. The color is magnificent. This is so reminiscent of the many hat boxes stacked high in my mother's closet those many decades ago. The array of hats enliven this charming photo but they almost uniformly assault each woman's appearance. Uh-oh, I sound like Mr. Blackwell. Sorry.

Ellie, I LOVE this!! It's so perfect - almost like a movie still. The quality is amazing, too. I think this is early 1960s - what do you think?
I don't particularly love the hat styles (except for the woman in the foreground with the black and white outfit - cool!) but I love the way they all seem so happy to be dressed up and enjoying their time together.
I noticed the lack of wine at the table - haha. Clearly missing my friend get togethers, too.
