Good catch Steve, I think the weather is not that off beat to let this one know time has run out this year for breeding.

Maybe he didn't get the memo!!!! It's rather large too - reminds me of a video I've seen of a small terrier with a huge stick in his mouth, wanting to take it home with him!!! Maybe this heron is tidying up the beach - you never know!!!
