I'm planning a couple of days later in the summer for a visit there, I have heard the zoo is one of the best from a photographers point of view. Only need to find a "Premier Inn" near there as I get rooms and breakfast / dinners @ 25% discount.

There are a number of premier inns in this area Maurice. The ones in the Chester city centre are pretty close to the zoo. My house is farther away and it takes me ten minutes to drive there.

Premier Inn, Chester Central North is the closest to the zoo Maurice.
