Perch rock lighthouse

It used to be used to guide ships into the river Jenny. A perch was a wooden tripod and at one time the lighthouse was wooden. However, in storms it kept getting washed away. Ships were expected to pay a toll to the lighthouse when they passed it. Eventually, the new lighthouse was built. These days there is a pirate ship on the beach made of drift wood. Each storm washes that away and local businesses pay to have a new one built for the children to play on.,.
