Jina Rishabhanatha is the first of the 24 Jain Tirthankaras, or "Ford-Makers" (saviors), in Jainism. He is also known as Adinatha, which means "Lord of the Beginning". Rishabhanatha is considered one of the most honored Tirthankaras because he is credited with preaching the Jain faith, inventing agriculture and fire, and teaching the arts and sciences. ~ Sopurce WWW
