I might quibble about the word "personal", Dinesh, but atheism is a refusal to accept someone else's view of reality over what you can observe yourself. To me, atheism is a null hypothesis -- "There is no god" -- and so far I've seen no evidence that contradicts that null hypothesis. That's a personal relationship with reality to me.
