Flow

Experience of “flow” of “being in the zone,” are well documented to contribute to very positive experiences of what is called “subjective well being” (SWB) but “flow experiences” are happening (although they get high scores afterward). According to Csikszentmihalyi, “flow is what happens to and for composers, musicians, athletes, dancers, rock-climbers, mathematicians, and philosophers when what-they-are-engaged in is going well” Flow appears to the main constituent of “enjoyment,” although enjoyable experiences are not high in emotion while we are in the zone…..
