Il peperoncino è il nome comune dato alla bacca ottenuta da alcune varietà piccanti del genere di piante Capsicum utilizzata principalmente come condimento.
Pur provenendo dal medesimo genere del peperone, il peperoncino se ne differenzia poiché contiene la capsaicina, un composto chimico presente in diverse concentrazioni a seconda delle varietà, responsabile della piccantezza della bacca. La piccantezza di un peperoncino si indica utilizzando la scala di Scoville, che misura la quantità di capsaicina contenuta.

Il titolo è dovuto al fatto che per tutto il tempo del mio servizio fotografico, lei/lui mi ha deliziato col suo canto.
Il cavaliere d'Italia (Himantopus himantopus) è un uccello acquatico che predilige paludi e le lagune poco profonde con sponde sabbiose e sassose.
Si adatta facilmente anche ad ambienti artificiali, come risaie e saline.
Si può trovare in Europa, intorno al Mar Mediterraneo, e a nord fino alla Germania e al Regno Unito; in Africa sia sulle coste mediterranee che in Madagascar; in Asia sia in Asia centrale, nelle zone del Sud-est asiatico e anche in Asia orientale (Cina, Taiwan e alcune isole).
Qui siamo in Camargue.
Detto questo, non so perché lo chiamano "d'Italia" ;-)
