La Strada Provinciale delle Langhe
Ha origine a Carmagnola, dal tratto declassato della strada statale 20 del Colle di Tenda e di Valle Roja, ed è un'importante arteria di collegamento tra il basso torinese e il basso cuneese; nel suo percorso verso sud tocca Crocetta, dopo la quale entra nel cuneese, Sommariva del Bosco, Sanfrè ed aggira l'abitato di Bra con una circonvallazione.
Quindi attraversa Cherasco, dopo aver valicato il fiume Stura di Demonte, e scorre affiancata al fiume Tanaro. Dopo diversi km tocca Dogliani, dove ci si addentra nelle colline delle Langhe e il tracciato si fa più impervio, Belvedere Langhe e Murazzano; arriva quindi a Montezemolo, dove si immette sulla ex strada statale 28 bis del Colle di Nava.
Su questa strada, che in questo tratto viene anche chiamata Pedaggera, in prossimità di Sale Langhe sorge questo castello: è il cosiddetto Palazzo Rosso; ha due torri di foggia medioevale scozzese, ma in verità fu eretto nell'800; d'estate non lo si vede bene, è nascosto dalle fronde degli alberi.
