Je n'ai jamais su garder un Saint-Paulia ... (pourtant, j'ai une centaine de plantes différentes dans ma maison !)
Si j'ai bien compris, ta maman excelle dans l'art de les garder ... et même de les multiplier ! J'aurais bien besoin de ses conseils ... ツ

pas trop chaud, pas trop froid, pas de gros changement de température...
Pas la lumière du soleil direct, mieux lumière diffuse...
Un coin sans mouvement d'aire...
Pas changer position...
Pas trop d'eau, mieux un peu d'eau un jour oui et un jour non...
En définitive une vie tranquille ;-)
