Prior to the opening of the Manchester Metrolink, a full dress rehearsal was carried out in April of 1992, with empty trams running through the city centre. 1010 is stopped at a junction on its way to Victoria Station.

Shadowmoss
On Monday 20 October 2014, Manchester Metrolink began a two week full scale dress rehearsal on the new line to Manchester Airport, prior to the official opening on Monday 3 November 2014 - a full 12 months ahead of schedule.
Here we see the station of Shadowmoss, the first stop out of the Airport, looking towards Wythenshawe and Manchester.
