Prototype HST

Built by BREL at Crewe in 1972, and known as Class 41, power cars 41001 41002 were the prototype HSDT - High Speed Diesel Train - as it was referred to at the time. Later renumbered to 43000 43001. Here we see 41001 as preserved at York NRM. Sat24Apr10
