Peak hour

Bristol Temple Meads. 'Peak' Class 45 No 129, which finished its days as 45073, has been uncoupled from its train and makes its way to the diesel depot, whilst another Class 45, No 88, later fitted with ETH and renumbered to 45136, awaits departure to the West Country. Steam and snow

A snowy day in Newcastle, with Peak Sulzer Type 4 No 22 supplying steam heat to its train bound for the West of England, and Brush Type 4 No 1775 with a departure for Kings Cross. The Peak later became 45132 under the TOPS renumbering scheme, whilst 1775 became 47180, then 47584 and finally 47735. Tue1Feb72. Scanned

Westbound Wagon
