Banyan Tree. About a mile or so from Phimai is this Banyan Tree. The sign says; 'The Banyan Tree covers an area of 35,000 square feet and more than 350 year of age. Her Royal Highness the 5th Queen Prasiprachalintara visited the Phimai Village for sight seeing and saw the beautiful Banyan Tree into "Sai Ngam" on the 21st January in 1911'.

Considered to be a holy tree, gifts are left hanging off the branches.
Just below the water can be seen a paved walkway, and picnic tables and benches are found at intervals.
The water level is not usually this high.
