This bus had been new to Stagecoach East London as their 17806 in April 2003. At that time the Alexander and Dennis businesses were owned by TransBus International which later became Alexander Dennis Limited. The bodywork was an ALX 400 (the design of which originated with Alexander) and the chassis was a Trident (the marque which originated with Dennis).
