My knowledge of cars is somewhat scant. Are you able to put names to some of these?

Some of them most certainly, but much of what I seem to know owes a great deal to the AutoTrader website where you can identify a vehicle from its registration. Doesn't always come up with the goods, but more often than not it does. :)

It's a great resource when you get stuck! ;)

That's great! Many thanks for that. I've had a look at the site which seems to do the job.
There's a few sites in the same vein for aircraft registrations, so I suppose it stands to reason that something similar would cater for cars.
I'll fill in the blanks on this lot before I post the final two batches of photos.

Glad to be of some help. It's a great resource and unlike some does not seem to restrict the number of searches you can do in any given time period. The only problem is you need to do them one at a time! :(
