TSC - Have a seat

The sunday challenge: I figure we better go easy this week.. the last 2 have been challenging! (well that's the name of the game right?) Chairs or benches, something you sit on, up close or in a garden.. don't matter, just NO PEOPLE... please. (deletions will occur if there is). Use those newly found camera settings this week... no automatic stuff, go out and get a new shot.. no archives. --------------------------- Ever been dining strongly downhill? Go to Mougins and try it yourself. And as you can see: NO DAREDEVILS so far, so no need to delete this one...;-) Explored, thank you all

TSC - Meet the bitch

The sunday challenge: ok here we go hope this makes sense... Pick 2 previous challenges (liked or hated) and pair it with some in camera processing here is the list. www.ipernity.com/group/305069/discuss/148187 example: * white balance with a texture * black and white with Forest Gump photography * highkey - lowkey with selective colour * in the garden with a bug or beastie so the challenge is an incamera processing, and a post processing in the same picture. Make sure you tell us what 2 you have chosen. ------------------------------ To my opinion there is no real in camera processing when you shoot your images in raw, so I decided to do the next thing: I first made a square crop, then HDR, sharpening, a new layer with black and white/ selenium toned, then partial recoloration (mixing with the underlaying layer) and finally gave the bitch a new colour....;-) ------------------------------ Explored, thank you all

TSC - Creepy Garden

In The Garden: so open to whatever you want this week.. for some of you this would be a perfect time to get a shot of a bug, beastie, creepy crawly! as long as it's in a garden! you can do dead-alive-crawly-pretty (and those last 2 DO NOT go together) trees-flowers-leaves-stems etc.. processing is open this week! The pond and the reflection of my house in the water inspired me. The image is rotated 90 degrees CW. Upper left you can see leaves mirroring in the water. Explored, thank you

TSC - White Balance: tungsten / Moonlit Nightride

This weeks challenge: "Fun with White Balance?" While playing with white balance in processing or forgetting to change it on my camera I have had some interesting results. Read those manuals this week, do this IN CAMERA. for those that have the option to. (almost every one of can do this) minimal processing is fine... cropping, sharpening all acceptable at anytime. (there is probably more acceptable stuff too.. I just can't think of it) Remember I am only the messenger to post these, it was Punchinpappy's idea, so please don't shoot the messenger! EDIT: from pappy.. "think we should be allowed to use the white balance in processing. That is where we will ultimately have the most control to get a desired result. That way we can take our photos as usual and see what we can do with them. The beauty of shooting in RAW and processing is that WB is controllable to get the desired colours you were looking for. In the case of this challenge the idea is to get something unlike the original but still interesting." Explored Frontpage, thank you all!!

TSC - Elvis Presley Songs

Thanks to Luc for suggesting this challenge; ******* ELVIS PRESLEY SONGS *********** With so many songs that Elvis recorded we should all be able to take a photograph this week to accompany it. See the link for a list of Elvis songs. I am asking that you take a new picture this week.*. There have been so many 'older from the archives shots" used lately that we need to get back to using current images as it is one of the goals for this group from the beginning. *As always, if you can not take the shot this week, let me know ahead of time. We are aware that life does get in the way or the computer goes down at times. Just give me a heads up. You may process as you like. Have fun with this one. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for taking the suggestion! Here's the video that goes with the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU5xxh5UX4U Explored, thank you for your remarks

TSC - Portrait (a striking similarity)

I like Val's idea of "portraits" especially since she included "it doesn't have to be people, it can be pets or dolls" .... processing ~ keep your subject recognizable, the rest is up to you I was sitting on a bench, when I saw this perfect dance ............. with striking similarity explored, thx
