HBM Great Central Railway Loughborough Leicestershire 11th April 2025

Despite the name on the bench this is Loughborough! The Great Central Railway is a heritage line that runs to Leicester but before it was closed as a main line in 1966 by BR it used to run to London Marylebone via Rugby. The bench was saved for preservation when that station closed.

Yes, there were two Rugby stations, one is still open but the GCR station and the railway line that ran through it are sadly completely closed.
