Lych Gate at Chorlton Green

This lych gate is the gateway to the original Church of St Clement which was relocated to Edge Lane in 1866. Built in 1888, it was a gift from one of the parishioners, Sir Cunliffe Brooks, the leader of a faction which objected to the re-siting of the new church. It was restored in the 1980s. It is listed Grade II.
