Denby Iron & Coal Co Ltd, nr Derby
The brickworks of the Denby Coal & Iron Company was just to the south-west of Denby Colliery and across the railway from the company's blast furnaces. It was well established by 1879 and later came into the ownership of W.H. & J Slater Ltd. By 1938 there were 21 circular kilns. It finally closed in 1981
