Ocean Accident Assurance Company

44 Waterloo St /Temple Row West, Birmingham. Listed Grade II*, it was designed by architects Mansell & Mansell and constructed in 1900. It was built for the Ocean Accident Assurance Company. The Perpendicular Gothic style incorporates both brick and buff terracotta with a host of mythical creatures and the letters OA entwined in a repeating pattern along the ground floor windows and doorway. The ground floor now does obeisance to the great god coffee.
