Colliery workshops

Llay Hall Colliery was opened in 1877 by Llay Hall Coal, Iron, and Coke Limited. At nationalisation it was owned by Llay Hall Colliery Co. and in 1945 employed 463 men. Closure came in 1947 and the site subsequently became used by a number of industrial units using the original buildings. This range was the workshops for the pit.
